For The Men & Women who Struggle with Porn & Sexual Addiction

This Is a Disclaimer & A Revision So Please Read :

(THIS POST WAS SOMETHING I ORIGINALLY POSTED A FEW YEARS AGO. SOMEWHERES ELSE. THIS IS FOR MEN AND WOMEN WHO STRUGGLE WITH PORN AND SEXUAL ADDICTION. )

Ok this is on a ministry site. Also if you feel like you want to repost this & share with someone who is struggling with this. Go ahead & share it to those who need it. If you are a female & you feel like you want to share this ( EVEN TO ANOTHER FEMALE WHO IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME PROBLEM) you can.

This can also be transferred to female porn & sex addiction as well. But I pray for those who are in ministry & feel a need to share this,pray that this may help those as well.

I pray that this may go forth & it may be fruitful to many.

Hey we all gone through it.

I should know because when I was involved with porn. I was also addicted to porn. Even when I came back to the Lord,there was a time I still had the dvd's in my dvd cabinet, & still had the magazines. It was when I wanted to live for Jesus,& with an all or nothing approach. I had to clean house meaning. I to trash the stuff,I had to. And when I did, thats when it was so much of a temptation to fall right back into the pigpen again. I have learned in Men's Purity,is to pray for other men who are going through the same situation.

And what was also the best way also when to combat the temptation was to quote Scripture. Meaning memorize some Scriptures. Thats what helped me & many other men & also for women. I don't know if you are in mens purity or in a Women's group or on an online accountability group. It does help.

Well let me give you some Scriptures for you to use :

Joshua 1:9,24:15; Jeremiah 29:11-13; Romans 8:1,8:28,12:1-2; James 5:16; 1 John 1:9; Philippians 4:7-8; 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 :

And also the Psalms when reading the Psalms of David is an awesome thing. This is just some of the tools that may help you men/women . Also you are always welcome here. I may share with you some resource book for reading

Which can also help. You can find many of these resources online or at a Christian bookstore,in your area or online,or at a bookstore like Borders & Barnes & Noble. To name a few.

Also seek counsel from a Pastor or where you are Fellowshipping. If they don't have a support group type of ministry try to find something nearest to you that is Biblically sound & that it may be a 12 step which is fine, but I have to say is that there is only "1 Step" & thats Jesus.

And get involved men & women. There are men & even women & teens that go through the same thing. And the Online thing with others you chat with be careful. Because you don't know about this person,in real life. ( That Goes for the Online Dating thing "Christian or secular" )

Let me pray for the men & women dealing with this issue.

So Father- I Thank You
And I pray for both men & women,& including myself, That You know our short comings. You know us all too well,Lord. We pray for this situation that is being put forth. I pray for many of these men & women. And that You just go before them Lord, & that You would renew their Minds & their hearts & strengthen them. You are The One who gets us back on our feet when we fall short. I thank You Jesus,for not giving up on us. And for restoring us. I pray that when temptation comes.
Lord,that you would have that hedge of Protection around these men & women & myself. And even when the flesh is strong, I pray that both men & women will get into Your Word & Your Word would get into them. Thank You, Jesus for all You have done & for all You are going to do. I pray that You be with many men & women,who are going through it.
